- Strengthen Korea's capacity to implement the Integrated Safeguards system
- Conduct nuclear material accounting and control
- Examine rules applied to nuclear material accounting and manage nuclear material accounting reports and data
- Conduct international cooperation on implementation of IAEA safeguards
- Provide technical support to the government for the effective implementation of the additional protocol
- Maintain and repair inspection equipment and provide relevant training and education
- Establish a management system for small quantity nuclear materials

- Assist to legislate and revise laws related to safeguards

- Formalize and organize annual bilateral report sessions
- Assist the development of export control policies and the establishment of an institutional infrastructure
- Examine the preliminary assessment process on strategic material and technology, and the export permission system
- Run the Nuclear Export Promotion System(NEPS)
