- The International Nuclear Non-Proliferation & Security Academy (INSA) acquired the certification of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System)
- 2014
- Opened INSA at KINAC to fulfil the commitment of the 2nd Global Nuclear Security Summit held in Seoul 2012
- Hosted the International Physical Protection Advisory Service (IPPAS) mission
- 2012
- Designated as a training organization for physical protection by NSSC
Hosted the 2nd Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul - Signed the Enhanced Cooperation (EC) agreement under the IAEA Integrated Safeguards (IS)
- Designated as a training organization for physical protection by NSSC
- 2011
- Established the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC)
- 2008
- Began implementing the IS (Integrated Safeguards)

- Established Korea Institute of Nuclear Nonproliferation and Control (KINAC)

- The Additional Protocol (AP) was ratified and entered into force
- Established National Nuclear Management and Control Agency(NNCA) at KINS

- Activated the national inspection system for nuclear Material Control and Accountancy (MC&A)

- Secured membership status in the Nuclear Supply Group (NSG) and the Zangger Committee for export control
